The Wisconsin Medical Project (WMP) provides donated medical equipment and supplies to hospitals and clinics in areas of great need, Camagüey, Cuba and several African countries. Medical equipment and supplies are donated by Wisconsin hospitals, clinics and individuals. Volunteers collect, sort, and inventory the donations, make sure that the equipment works well and refurbish it if necessary, and pack the donations on to 40-foot containers for shipment to Camagüey or to one of several African countries. All of the work is done by volunteers. WMP has no paid staff. WMP also works with local organizations to distribute donated supplies to people in need in the Madison area.
